About Membership

See below for the various SPS membership levels and their associated dues, rights and responsibilities, requirements, as well as links to join or renew.

Full Members, Associate Members, Student Members

Memberships run from January 1 through December 31 in a calendar year. Any membership payments made after October 1 are assumed to be for the next year and are applied as such (e.g., dues paid on November 18, 2024 are applied for the 2025 membership year starting January 1, 2025).

Full Member: $110 Annually

Rights and Privileges:

  • Receives Pneuma - Online and Hardcopy
  • Receives Monthly Newsletter
  • May Lead SPS Group
  • May Lead Society as Officer
  • May Vote in Business Meeting regarding all items
  • Receives hard copy of annual program if attending conference

Requirements:

Hold an earned graduate degree from a recognized institution of higher education, currently be engaged in Christian education (administrative or instructional), or have made significant literary contributions to Pentecostal literature and journalism. Applicants without an earned graduate degree should submit a statement of qualifications for consideration by the membership committee. Must subscribe to the Society's Statement of Purpose.

RETIRED Full Member: $70 Annually

Rights and Privileges:

  • Receives Pneuma - Online
  • Receives Monthly Newsletter
  • May Lead SPS Group
  • May Vote in Business Meeting regarding all items
  • Receives hard copy of annual program if attending conference

Requirements:

  • Must be retired from full-time employment.
  • Must meet the above listed requirements for Full Member.

Associate Member: $110 Annually

Statement of Purpose

  • To encourage fellowship and facilitate co-ordination of effort among Pentecostal believers throughout the world.
  • To demonstrate to the world the essential unity of Spirit-baptized believers, fulfilling the prayer of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • To cooperate in an endeavor to respond to the unchanging commission of the Lord Jesus, to carry His message to all people of all nations.
  • To promote courtesy and mutual understanding, “endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, until we all come in the unity of the faith.”
  • To afford prayerful/practical assistance to any Pentecostal body in need of such.
  • To promote and maintain the scriptural purity of the Society by Bible study and prayer.
  • To uphold and maintain those Pentecostal truths, “most surely believed among us.”
